Log Management: What the Legal Field Needs to Know
In order to ensure the protection of a client’s sensitive information, legal professionals need a Security Information and Even
t Management (SIEM) solution, says Sword & Shield Director of Computer Forensics Bill Dean.
Dean will be discussing SIEMs and their advantages at the International Legal Technology Association’s annual Rev-Elation 2011 event in Nashville. The event is August 21 through 25.
“With cyberattacks increasing in quantity and sophistication, SIEM systems can make a difference from a time and cost perspective when a computer security incident occurs – and it will,” Dean says. “A SIEM system provides a level of ‘instant replay’ of previous events that can provide the needed details to determine the who, what and when of a computer security incident.”
Dean will cover the processes involved in the detection of a security incident, what the responses are, other SEIM advantages, and how this solution can support a change management strategy.
