This package provides our customers with a sensitive data usage and security policy review and a dedicated team for incident response, electronic discovery, and digital forensics support. Part of this response includes preparation for the preservation, collection and production of electronic data for litigation purposes.

Sensitive Data Discovery

Knowing where sensitive data is stored and how it is used is the essence of preparedness. And in most cases the data is not always where you think it is. Sword & Shield analysts will use tools to scan the network to discover pinpoint sources of confidential data as well as additional subsets, copies, and exports of that data identified in files and databases containing payment card information, customer data, personally identifying information, financial data and corporate intellectual property.

eDiscovery Readiness Plan

Sword & Shield will develop an eDiscovery Readiness Plan. This plan will consist of litigation-specific data maps with data classifications for “data reasonably accessible” and “data not reasonably accessible” according to Rule 26(f) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. Sword & Shield also will develop documented litigation response procedures for identifying and preserving electronically stored information.

Security Incident Response Plan

Sword & Shield will develop custom incident response plans and documented procedures for collecting critical information that Sword & Shield security professionals analyze to determine the details of the incident. Sword & Shield will also provide a “Rapid Response” kit that includes hardware, software, and procedures needed to perform preservation by the customer when needed. This information can be sent to Sword & Shield experts electronically so they can immediate begin analyzing the facts and the breadth of the potential breach before arriving on site. The Rapid Response toolkit also enables clients to create their own forensic images of computers and other devices to ship to Sword & Shield’s secure forensic lab for further analysis. Sword & Shield’s custom toolkit can save you time and money during the data restoration and collection process.

Prepaid Consulting

Sword & Shield will provide you with a predetermined amount of prepaid consulting hours for incident response, digital forensics, and eDiscovery services. These prepaid consulting hours are to be used within 12 months from the initial date of the contract. If the customer exhausts the predetermined amount of consulting hours before the contract expires, the customer may still receive, upon request, incident response, digital forensics, and eDiscovery services consulting at the same 20 percent discounted rate.
