Sword & Shield CEO Talks to WVLT About Online Security

On the heels of the conviction of a former University of Tennessee student who used social engineering to gain access to former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s private Yahoo! email account, Sword & Shield’s President and CEO John McNeely talks to WVLT about protecting yourself and your private information online.

“You may have credit card information stored on Amazon, eBay or other sites, but every time you do that there’s actually a risk associated with storing credit card information,” McNeely told the CBS affiliate in a two-part series that ran late last week.

David Kernell, 22, was convicted April 30 of of unauthorized access to a computer and destroying records to obstruct justice. He was acquitted on a wire fraud charge, and the jury deadlocked on an identity theft charge.
