Sword & Shield Ranks 157 on the 2013 Solutions Provider 500 List
Sword & Shield Enterprise Security, Inc., a Knoxville, TN-based information security service provider, enters its seventh year on the Solutions Provider 500 list, placing at No. 157 on the elite roster.
Formerly known as the VAR 500, the UBM Channel’s CRN Solution Provider 500 ranks the highest producing solution provider organizations in the IT channel from hardware sales, software sales, and managed services.
The Solution Provider 500 ranking is based on revenue size, and considers each company’s forward-thinking approach to the channel. In particular, the Solution Provider 500 selection panel sought to recognize companies that build practices around data centers and virtualization while offering software integration and application development.
“To effectively address the constantly changing security and compliance landscape requires paying attention to the customer – what their environment is, what their concerns are, what their risk appetite is,” said Sword & Shield President and CEO John McNeely. “We are always seeking innovative solutions in information security so that we can deliver one of the things our customers desire most – peace of mind. Being recognized as one of the leading solution providers in North America absolutely validates the time and energy our associates have invested in making our customer-centered approach such a success.”
Recently, Sword & Shield added two additional services to their portfolio of information security solutions that complement their product offerings. The Virtual Security & Compliance Consultant (vSCC) service provides organizations with a high level IT security and compliance consultant who serves as the organization’s trusted security adviser. It combines the flexibility of an outside consultant with a dedicated, named individual who comes to know their clients’ staff, network, and policies.
Sword & Shield’s newest offering – as a Managed Security Solutions Provider (MSSP) – manages an organization’s IT security program, while still keeping staff alerted and informed of events and vulnerabilities. The managed security service can be tailored to meet the needs of any customer network and can be scaled to meet the changing needs of today’s IT environment.
“We aim to highlight the ‘best of the best’ among the channel community, and the Solution Provider 500 is no exception,” said Robert Faletra, CEO of UBM Tech Channel. Now in its 18th year, this prestigious list serves as a valuable industry resource to help end users quickly identify top performers and make the most well-informed choices for their business.
“The companies listed have a forward-thinking approach to solutions sales. They are also highly dedicated to putting their customers’ needs first to accelerate the adoption of innovative technology and drive immediate results. We congratulate Sword & Shield for making this year’s list and look forward to covering their continued success.”
